Wolfdog Moon : Downtown Fort Worth night trail run
Wolfdog Moon is a nighttime running event in Downtown Fort Worth on August 28, 2026, held along the Trinity River. The event offers a looped cross-country style course under the full moon that passes through grassy and gravel areas inside the city.

The course begins with a long asphalt straight-away and then moves onto a grassy jeep track and gravel sections. Runners cross the river and can view the moon rising above the city. The route is mostly grass and gravel with some pavement. The 5K is one loop and the 10K is two loops. Each loop includes a single climb.
On-course support includes water, and the start/finish area provides water, sports drink, and snacks. Timing is chip based. Participants receive a custom full-color bib, custom finisher medal, and full-color T shirts; registering by August 16 guarantees size availability. Age group and overall awards are given. Registration opens May 1 and closes June 1; the listed registration fees are $25 for the 5K and $30 for the 10K. Donations from the event benefit a local wolfdog sanctuary.
