Wolfdog Moon
Wolfdog Moon is a nighttime running event on August 28, 2026 in Downtown Fort Worth, Texas at 492 N Taylor Street. It offers a loop trail format held under the full moon along the Trinity River and a grassy jeep track in the heart of the city.
The course is mostly grass with some gravel, asphalt and concrete. Runners begin on a long asphalt straightaway before entering grassy sections. The route crosses the river and provides a view of the moon rising above the city. Each loop includes one climb. The event format is:
- 5K one loop
- 10K two loops
On-course support and event services include water on the course and water, sports drink and snacks at the start and finish. Timing is by chip. Participants receive a custom full-color bib, a full-color T shirt and a custom finisher medal. Age group and overall awards are offered. The organizer notes that registering by August 16 guarantees T shirt size. Donations from the event benefit a local Wolfdog Sanctuary.
