Event details

Ultra Trails - Wold Rangers Way Ultra is a 50 km circular trail event on Saturday 25 April 2026. It starts and finishes at Field House Camping & Coffee Barn, Field House Farm, Tibthorpe, Driffield, YO25 9JZ. The event is full; there were 241 participants entered. Entries opened on 27 April 2025 and closed on 29 March 2026. Minimum age is 20 years. Entry fees were listed as £47 (affiliated) and £49 (non-affiliated), with an optional technical tee for £14. Four pounds from each entry fee is allocated to local charities.

Route and navigation

The route largely follows the Wold Rangers Way and passes through dry valleys and the villages of Huggate, Fridaythorpe, Thixendale, Fimber and Wetwang. Organisers provide a GPX file and the route is available in Ordnance Survey format via the OpenTracking website. Premium OpenTracking GPS tracking will be used with live timing and splits. Yellow tape and large yellow correx signs will mark key junctions.

Support and facilities

The event includes first aid medical support and four indoor checkpoints with toilet facilities. All checkpoints are stocked with vegan-friendly and gluten-free nutrition. A non-returnable food drop-bag option is available at the main checkpoint, which will also provide tea and coffee. Start and finish facilities include free parking, indoor cycle parking and toilets; camping is available at a discounted price.

Finish and extras

Finishers choose an eco-wooden or wildflower seed medal, or may opt out and have three trees planted instead. Podium competitors in the female and open classes receive a reclaimed waymark post trophy. Optional technical tees are offered in unisex or female fit.
