Event overview

The Wolds Rangers Way Ultra is scheduled for 25 April 2026. It is a 50 km circular trail event that starts and finishes at Field House Camping & Coffee Barn near Tibthorpe, Driffield (YO25 9JZ). The route largely follows the Wold Rangers Way and passes through the villages of Huggate, Fridaythorpe, Thixendale, Fimber and Wetwang. The event is currently full.

Entries, age and fees

Minimum age is 20 on the event date. Entries opened on 27 April 2025 and closed on 29 March 2026. At the time of listing there were 240 participants and 6 on the waiting list. Entry fees listed were £47 (affiliated) and £49 (non-affiliated). A technical tee was available as an optional extra for £14. Four pounds from each entry fee is allocated to local charities.

Route, navigation and cut-off

Participants receive a GPX file and the route is available via OpenTracking. Premium OpenTracking GPS tracking with live timing and splits is used. Yellow tape and large yellow correx signs will mark key junctions. A 12-hour cut-off applies for completion.

Support and facilities

There are four indoor checkpoints with toilet facilities and first aid present. Checkpoints offer vegan-friendly and gluten-free nutrition and the main checkpoint provides tea and coffee. Free parking, indoor cycle parking and toilets at the start and finish are available. Camping is offered at a discounted price. Finishers receive a medal option (eco-wooden or wildflower seed); choosing no medal triggers planting of three trees. Free event photography and tea or coffee with cake are provided at the finish.
