Event
The Wold Rangers Way Ultra is scheduled for Saturday 25th April 2026. It is organised by Ultra Trails and takes place at Field House Camping & Coffee Barn, Field House Farm, Tibthorpe, Driffield, YO25 9JZ. The event is currently full; entries opened on 27 April 2025 and closed on 29 March 2026. Minimum age is 20 years. Entry fees were listed as £47 (affiliated) and £49 (non-affiliated), with an optional technical tee for £14. The entry list showed 241 participants.
Course and navigation
The event is a circular trail of 50 km, largely following the Wold Rangers Way route. The route passes through the dry valleys of the Wolds and through the villages of Huggate, Fridaythorpe, Thixendale, Fimber and Wetwang. Organisers provide a GPX file, route availability in OS via the OpenTracking website, Premium OpenTracking GPS tracking with live timing and splits, and physical waymarking using yellow tape and large yellow correx signs at key junctions.
Support and facilities
Support includes first aid medical cover, four indoor checkpoints with toilet facilities, vegan-friendly and gluten-free nutrition at all checkpoints, and an option for a non-returnable food drop-bag at the main checkpoint. The main checkpoint supplies tea and coffee. Facilities at the venue include free parking, indoor cycle parking, toilets at the start and finish, and discounted camping. Finishers receive a medal with choices (eco-wooden or wildflower seed), an option to forgo a medal and have three trees planted instead, and a reclaimed waymark post trophy for podium places in female or open class.
