Woking Autumn Triathlon and Junior Aquathlon
The event at Woking Leisure Centre and Woking Park comprises pool-based swims, an open-road bike circuit and a lapped park run. The swim takes place in a six-lane competition pool with a spectator gallery and uses a snake-style start. Entrants are asked for an expected swim time to seed the start order. For swims longer than 300m, the first 150m are completed in lane 1 before snaking to the end.
The open-road bike course leaves the leisure centre, heads toward Mayford and follows a circuit between Mayford and Jacobs Well. SuperSprint competitors complete one lap and Sprint competitors complete two laps. The course is mostly flat with a few short inclines and returns to transition at a junction.
The run is based in Woking Park and is a lapped route with about 80% tarmac and 20% hard-packed trail. Routes pass through the central park several times; junior aquathlon athletes use variations of the same area.
