Woking Autumn Triathlon & Junior Aquathlon
The event is staged at Woking Leisure Centre and Woking Park. Races include pool-based swims, open-road bike laps, and a lapped park run. Swim sessions take place in a six-lane competition pool operated by Freedom Leisure with a spectator viewing gallery. Swim starts use a snake format; swimmers covering more than 300 m begin with 150 m in lane 1 before snaking to the far end. Entrants provide an estimated swim time for start seeding.
The bike leg leaves transition and follows an open-road circuit between Mayford and Jacobs Well. SuperSprint competitors complete one lap and Sprint competitors complete two laps. The course is described as largely flat with a few short inclines. Riders return to transition via a junction turn.
The run is based in Woking Park and uses a lapped course that passes the park center several times. The surface is approximately 80% tarmac and 20% hard-packed trail. Junior aquathlon participants use variations of the adult route.
Race categories and typical distances include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 400m swim, 20.6k bike, 5k run, age 15 plus
- SuperSprint Triathlon: 200m swim, 13.6k bike, 3.3k run, age 15 plus
