The Witham Boxing Day 5 takes place on 26 December 2025 at Witham Rugby Club, Spa Road, Witham, Essex CM8 1UN. The race is a 5-mile looped course described by the organiser as undulating, mainly rural and entirely on roads. The course holds an SEAA measured course certificate (15/482). The start is a short walk from the rugby club. The event is open with a total of 500 places.
Entry, rules and facilities
Entry fees are listed as £16 (affiliated), £18 (unaffiliated) and £20 on the day if places remain. Discounted fees apply until 21 December 2025 for members of EA, WA or SA. No refunds are offered; transfers are possible until Sunday 21 December 2025. Race numbers include timing chips and must be collected on the day from race HQ. The race will be chip timed and is held under UK Athletics rules (UKA licence number to be confirmed). Minimum age is 15 on race day. The time limit is 75 minutes. Bone conduction headphones are allowed; in-ear or over-ear headphones and similar devices contravene UKA rules and may lead to disqualification. Wheelchair entrants are not accommodated. Changing and refreshments are available at the rugby club. A presentation ceremony and trophies are planned for top finishers and age categories. A race t-shirt is available for purchase.
