The Highwayman

The Highwayman Trail Marathon is a unique narrative trail race set for July 6, 2025, in the picturesque villages of Thaxted, Great Sampford, and Hempstead, inspired by the early life of Dick Turpin. Participants will navigate a 95% off-road course using written instructions, with five well-stocked checkpoints along the way. The event promotes sustainability by being cupless, encouraging runners to bring their own hydration solutions.
