The Winterfest Hot Cocoa Run takes place on January 17, 2026, at Stewart Lodge in Mendon Ponds Park, 95 Douglas Road, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472. The event is part of the Monroe County Winterfest festival. Partial proceeds will go to Wild Wings Bird of Prey Facility & Nature Center. Sponsors include Monroe County Parks and Fleet Feet Rochester. The first 200 registrants receive a custom tumbler; kids may purchase a tumbler while supplies last.

Courses, awards and logistics
The 5K Road course is an out-and-back on park roads; the road remains open to traffic and runners are asked to remain against traffic. The 5K-ish Trail course follows marked trails and splits from the road driveway near Stewart Lodge; trail markers will be pink flags and signs. Awards for both 5K events include overall male and female and first place in 10-year age groups (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & up). The exact kids course will be determined on race day based on weather.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Fleet Feet @ The Armory (155 Culver Rd., Rochester) and on race day at Stewart Lodge. Parking is in the Beach Lot on Douglas Road; parking at Stewart Lodge is not permitted. Volunteer roles include outdoor road marshal and finish line positions; some roles require age 23 or older.
