Event overview
Winter Trail Fest Eastside is a trail event at Island Lake State Recreation Area, 6301 Kensington Rd, Brighton, Michigan, on February 14, 2026. The event offers two on-site distances and virtual options. Both the Half Marathon and 5 Mile are held on trail terrain and include separate run and ruck divisions. The Half Marathon route winds through rolling singletrack; winter trail conditions such as snow, ice, slush, or mud are expected to be part of the course.

Details and policies
Registration options include standard and economy packages, and a virtual race choice. Registrations include a custom race hoodie, finisher medal, chip timing with live results, race day photos, post-race food and drinks, and age-group awards. Age-group awards have previously included winter hats.
Entries cannot be deferred to another event or year. No refunds are issued within 30 days of the event; requests made earlier than 30 days may receive a 50% refund of the entry fee (processing fees excluded). Entries may be transferred to another individual for a $5 fee; T-shirt size cannot be changed during a transfer.
