Run for the Gold 5K & Kids Fun Run - Pinckney, MI (March 14, 2026)
The 14th annual Run for the Gold 5K and Kids Fun Run is presented by Mugg & Bopps and organized by Light of the World Academy. The event is held at Townsquare Park in downtown Pinckney, 131 S. Howell St, Pinckney, MI 48169.

The 5K follows a mixed trail course that includes Michigan country dirt roads, a paved trail, and the streets of downtown Pinckney. The event typically draws around 375+ runners and their families; 47% of 5K participants are under 18. The Kids Fun Run hosts an additional 60 to 80 children. Pinckney's St. Patrick's Day parade starts after the kids run.
Proceeds from the event support Phase 2 of the new playground at Light of the World Academy. Packet pickup and in-person registration are available the day before and the morning of the event. The 5K is professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Published entry fees include $30 early registration, $35 mid registration, $40 on race day for the 5K, and a $10 fee for the kids run; registering by March 1 guarantees shirt size.
