Winter City Views 5k and 10k
This event takes place at Gravelly Point in Arlington, Virginia and offers two measured distances along the Potomac River. Points earned at the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series and toward the Winter Series.

The course is an out-and-back along the Mount Vernon Trail heading north toward Theodore Roosevelt Island. It is described as a fairly flat, paved route with riverfront scenery and views of the Washington Monument across the Potomac. Walkers and strollers are welcome. A virtual race option is available for those who cannot attend in person.
Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical drifit event shirt, and electronic chip timing. Live results are posted online with a QR code available at the event for immediate access; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Runner tracking via SMS is offered during registration.
On-course support includes four water stations on the 10 km course at approximately miles 1.55, 2.8, 3.4 and 4.65, and one water station on the 5 km course at approximately mile 1.55. Gatorade is available at some stations. Port-a-johns are located adjacent to the parking lot. Packet pickup is available at the event; organizers recommend arriving about one hour before a runner's scheduled race to check in. There will be no on-site race registration.
