Event
The 2026 Winter City Views 5k & 10k is scheduled for January 17, 2026 at Gravelly Point in Arlington, VA. The courses run alongside the Potomac River on the Mount Vernon Trail, out toward Theodore Roosevelt Island, with views of the Washington Monument across the river. The route is a fairly flat, paved out-and-back with no major elevation gains. Walkers and strollers are welcome. A virtual race option is available.

Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and the event is chip timed. Water stations: four along the 10k at approximately mile markers 1.55, 2.8, 3.4 and 4.65; one on the 5k at about mile 1.55. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Port-a-johns are located adjacent to the parking lot. Packet pickup is available at the event; there will be no on-site race registration. Live results are published and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race.
The event benefits the Wear Blue: Run to Remember charity. Points from this race count toward the organizer’s Year-Long 5k, 10k, Back of the Pack Series and the Winter Series. Registration fees listed by the organizer change on specified dates; shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed before January 7. Awards are given to the top 3 men and women overall and 1st and 2nd in standard age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
