Monster Dash 5k, 10k, 15k and Half Marathon : Belmont Shores, Long Beach
The Monster Dash is a Halloween-themed running event held on the Long Beach path in Belmont Shores at 5400 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90803. The course is an open beach-path route with marked out-and-back loops; participants should be courteous to pedestrians, other runners, and cyclists.
Course and support include an aid station at the turnaround/start-finish area offering water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and GU gels. Course maps are provided for the 5k and the half marathon loop. The half marathon is run as repeated loops and carries a 3 hour 15 minute time limit; early-start requests can be made through the organizer.

- Half marathon (three 4.36 mile loops)
Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos, posted results within 12 to 24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples. Pricing varies by registration period with separate early-bird, race-month, and race-day rates. Parking is free in nearby residential areas; beach parking lots require payment by ticket machine or parking app. Group discounts are available for five or more participants.
