Haunted Heroes 5k 10k 15k Half Marathon Long Beach
The Haunted Heroes event on October 3, 2026 takes place on the Long Beach Shoreline Path in Belmont Shores at 5400 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90803. The course is an open beach path with out and back loops; participants should be courteous to pedestrians, runners, and cyclists.
Distances offered:
- 5k out and back loop on the beach path.
- 10k two 5k loops.
- 15k three 5k loops.
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops.
An aid station is located at the turnaround near the start/finish and supplies water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and GU gels. The course is marked and designed to be easy to follow. A 3 hour 15 minute time limit applies to the half marathon; alternatives are available by request to the organizer.
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, drawstring goodie bag, free race videos, live results at finish, free photos located by bib, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, an Ascend Index ranking, and access to the A Better World Running app. Race day registration is offered with payment options and listed prices for each distance. Parking options include free residential parking and a paid beach parking lot with pay machines or a parking app in the designated zone. Volunteer opportunities can be exchanged for a free race entry. Transfers are allowed only by request and there is a no refund policy.
