Lucky Eight 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon
A Better World Running presents four distances on the Long Beach beach path in Belmont Shores on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The event meeting area is near 54th Place at 5400 E. Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA.
Distances offered:
- 5 km out and back on the beach path
- 10 km two 5 km loops
- 15 km three 5 km loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
The course is an open route on the beach path and will be marked with out and back loops. Participants share the path with pedestrians, other runners, and cyclists. An aid station is located at the turnaround near the start and finish and supplies water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Course maps are provided by the organizer.
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, a drawstring goodie bag, free photos, posted results within 12 to 24 hours after the event, and assorted snacks and samples. The event has a no refund policy; transfers must be arranged through the organizer. A 3 hour 15 minute time limit applies to the half marathon; earlier start times may be arranged with the organizer. Payment options listed by the organizer include PayPal, Active.com registration, and race day payments by cash, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.
