Lucky Eight 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon - Long Beach
The Lucky Eight event takes place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, on the Long Beach path in Belmont Shores. The meeting area is at the beach path start near 54th Place and Ocean Boulevard, address listed as 5400 E. Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90803. Participants should check in at the tables closest to 54th Place, not near Claremont Avenue.
The course is an open beach path and uses out and back loops that are marked. An aid station is located at the turnaround near the start and finish; it provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. The half marathon has a 3 hour 15 minute time limit; runners who need more time may request an early start by contacting the organizer.

- 5k out and back on the beach path
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos, and an assortment of snacks and samples. Results are posted on the event website within 12 to 24 hours. Group discounts are available for five or more people. Transfers are allowed only by contacting the organizer and there is a no refund policy.
