Lucky Eight 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon : Long Beach
The Lucky Eight event on Saturday, August 8, 2026 offers multiple running distances along the beach path in Belmont Shores, Long Beach. The event takes place near 5400 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90803.
Distances offered:
- 5k out and back route
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
The course is an open path on the beach and will be marked with out and back loops. An aid station at the turnaround near the start and finish supplies water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Course maps are provided for the 5k and the half marathon routes.
Registration benefits include custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos, posted results within 12 to 24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples. There is a three hour fifteen minute time limit for the half marathon; an early start can be requested. Transfers are allowed by organizer request and there is a no refund policy. Group discounts are available for five or more participants. Volunteer opportunities are offered in exchange for a free race entry.
