Summer Fun 5k 10k 15k Half Marathon : Long Beach, July 26, 2026
A Better World Running stages a set of beach path races in Long Beach on July 26, 2026. The event takes place along the Long Beach Shoreline Path near 5400 E. Ocean Blvd in Belmont Shores. It is an open course shared with pedestrians, runners, and cyclists; participants are asked to be courteous to others.
Distances offered:
- 5k out and back
- 10k as two 5k loops
- 15k as three 5k loops
- Half marathon as three 4.36 mile loops
The course uses marked out-and-back loops on the beach path. An aid station at the turnaround near the start/finish provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and energy gels.
Included with registration are custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free videos and photos, live results at finish, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, an Ascend Index ranking and the event app to track races. Snacks and samples are available on site. Group discounts for three or more participants are applied through the event registration platform.
A no-refund policy is stated. A 3 hour 15 minute time limit applies to the half marathon; requests for additional time require organizer approval. Parking is free in nearby residential areas; a paid beach parking lot is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
