Event overview
The IQ Fiber Winter Beach Run takes place at the Seawalk Pavilion, 1st Street North, Jacksonville Beach, FL on Saturday, January 10, 2026. The event offers two distances:
- 10 mile
- 5K
The run/walk is staged on firmly packed sand near low tide. The course is an out-and-back on the beach; the 5K turns around at the 1.55 mile mark. The 10 mile course goes 2.5 miles out and back and then repeats the same 5K route. Bikes and dogs are not allowed on the course. There is a 2.5 hour time limit for the 10 mile event, which requires maintaining about a 15-minute per mile pace.
Race features, entry and logistics
All 10 mile and 5K finishers receive medals and all entrants receive long-sleeve moisture-wicking shirts. The event includes overall and age-group awards for both distances, and hot chocolate and snacks are provided after the race. The 10 mile is part of the Jacksonville Grand Prix series (the 5K serves younger age groups).
Entry fees vary by registration period: through November 30, December 1–31, January 1–9, and race day, with higher fees closer to race day. Current JTC Running members receive a $2 discount on entry (verification required). Packets are available at designated 1st Place Sports locations and will be moved to the race site for race day pick up. A large parking lot is located west of the Seawalk Pavilion; additional parking is farther away once that lot fills. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
