Winter Beach Run : Jacksonville Beach
The Winter Beach Run is a beach road race held on firmly packed sand near low tide at Jacksonville Beach. The course is out-and-back with the start and finish at the Seawalk Pavilion. The 5K turns at the 1.55 mile mark. The 10 mile route goes 2.5 miles out and back and then repeats the 5K section.

All 5K and 10 mile finishers receive medals. All entrants receive long-sleeve moisture-wicking shirts. Overall and age-group awards are given for both distances; the 10 mile is a Jacksonville Grand Prix event for age groups except under 13, and the 5K serves as the Grand Prix race for younger age groups. Hot chocolate and snacks are provided after the run at the Seawalk Pavilion.
Entry fees increase by registration date, with lower fees available earlier and higher fees on race day. Online and in-store registration options are available; there are no refunds. A member discount is offered for current JTC Running members.
The 10 mile event has a 2.5 hour time limit, which requires maintaining about a 15 minute per mile pace. Bikes and dogs are not allowed on the course. Parking is available in a large lot west of the Seawalk Pavilion; later arrivals may need to park farther away. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
