Wings for Life World Run Kelowna

The Wings for Life World Run in Kelowna uses a format without a finish line: participants run until the Virtual Catcher Car catches them. The local event is based at Okanagan Lifestyle (115–1295 Cannery Lane) in Cannery Lane, next to Sprout Bread and SpinCo.

The route is an out and back path toward the Kelowna Visitor Centre. The paved pathway is smooth and accessible for running, jogging, walking, and wheelchair use. The layout allows participants to pass one another frequently and encourages interaction and support along the way. The route includes views of Okanagan Lake and space for spectators alongside the path.

Participation requires the Wings for Life World Run mobile app, available for iOS and Android. The Virtual Catcher Car departs after the start and steadily increases its speed to catch participants. All donations and entry fees are directed to spinal cord research projects.
