Wings for Life World Run Santa Monica
The Wings for Life World Run in Santa Monica is an app-based race where runners and wheelchair participants compete to stay ahead of a Virtual Catcher Car instead of finishing at a fixed line. Participation at this location is managed through the official Wings for Life World Run mobile app.
The local course begins at the Red Bull North American HQ, follows the bike path on Olympic, continues along Colorado down to the Santa Monica Pier, then turns around and returns to the HQ. The event site is listed at 1740 Stewart Street, Santa Monica CA 90404.
This location is accessible for wheelchair participants. On-site services include medals, T-shirts, refreshment stations, printed start numbers, a goodie bag, and local timing and race number arrangements. Organizers provide a refreshment station and local set up for participants.
The Wings for Life World Run is organized so that the Virtual Catcher Car starts after the race and increases speed until all participants are caught.
