Wings for Life World Run New York City Hoboken
The event is a local edition of the Wings for Life World Run taking place on May 10, 2026 in New York City with a meetup at 15 Little W 12th St in the Meatpacking District. The event is accessible for wheelchair participants and includes local race support such as a refreshment station, timing and race numbers, and a local setup for social activities and raffles.
The race uses a time based out and back format with no fixed distance. Participants run until the Virtual Catcher Car catches them. The Virtual Catcher Car starts 30 minutes after the race start at 14 km/h and then increases speed over time. Entry fees and donations are directed entirely to spinal cord research projects.
The local route follows the Hudson River Greenway northbound with river views and the Manhattan skyline to the rear. The path runs alongside water and passes parks and piers, with other runners sharing the route. Local event activities include a group photo, bag drop, social refreshments, and a cleanup at the meeting point.
