Wings for Life World Run - Hamilton Bayfront Park
Wings for Life World Run is an app-based event held at Bayfront Park in Hamilton, Canada. Participants use the official Wings for Life World Run mobile app to take part; the app is available on major app stores.
The race does not have a traditional finish line. Competitors run until the Virtual Catcher Car catches them. The Virtual Catcher Car begins 30 minutes after the race start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last participants are caught.
The local meeting point is Bayfront Park and the course follows the waterfront trail around the park, with the option to extend along the waterfront. The local setup includes a refreshment station, timing and race number arrangements. The location is accessible for wheelchair participants.
