Wings for Life World Run Albuquerque
The Wings for Life World Run in Albuquerque is an app based public run taking place on May 10, 2026. The local meeting point and parking are at the ABQ BioPark Aquarium parking lot. From there participants proceed to run along the Bosque Trails. A one mile marker will be present on the course.
This event uses a Virtual Catcher Car instead of a traditional finish line; competitors run in a loop on the Bosque Trails until the Virtual Catcher Car catches them or they stop. The Virtual Catcher Car begins its course after the race start and gradually increases speed as the event proceeds. Both runners and wheelchair participants are included in the event format.
Participation is managed via the Wings for Life World Run mobile app. Local set up includes a refreshment station, timing and race numbers. Organizer information and event updates are provided by the Wings for Life World Run team. Local partners listed for the Albuquerque location include Run Club ABQ, Brickz Fitness and Dukes Track Club.
All donations and entry fees collected for the Wings for Life World Run are directed to spinal cord research projects. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
