Run Against Traffick 5K

Run Against Traffick is a fundraising 5K held at Balloon Fiesta Park in Albuquerque. The event raises funds for the New Mexico Dream Center to support services for vulnerable youth experiencing homelessness and for individuals and families affected by human trafficking.

Packet pickup and late registration are available on December 12, 2026 from 10:00 to 3:00 PM at 126 General Chennault St NE, Albuquerque. Race-day packet pickup is also available at the registration area between 12:30 PM and 1:45 PM. Registration opens May 22, 2026 and closes December 12, 2026; the registration fee is $50.00. Race-day registration is permitted.

The 5K starts near the Sid Cutter Pavilion and follows a course that weaves around the Balloon Fiesta Park. Participants must wear their bibs visibly during the race; lost bibs can be replaced at the registration tent. Parking is available in the lot east of the Sid Cutter Pavilion.

Event rules address conduct, safety, and course monitoring. Officials may disqualify participants for unsportsmanlike behavior, refusing directions, cutting the course, or receiving unauthorized assistance. Certain wheeled devices are restricted to authorized participants and marshals; motorized devices are prohibited. Medical personnel may examine or remove participants deemed at risk. Entry fees are non-refundable and transfers or sales of bibs are prohibited. Overall and age-group awards will be given, with age categories ranging from 9 and under through 70 and over.
