Event overview
The Wine Lovers 5K takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Cardinal Point Vineyard in Afton, VA (9423 Batesville Road). The course is an out-and-back that starts and finishes at the winery and runs on county back roads. The route is described as mostly flat with a few rolling hills and is walker, stroller, and dog-friendly; all-terrain strollers are welcome.
Race details
Registration prices are tiered: $40 through January 22, 2026; $45 from January 23 through February 13, 2026; and $50 on February 14, 2026. Participants registered by February 1 are guaranteed an event shirt. Race entries include a tech tee option, professional chip timing, and a commemorative finisher glass plus Cardinal Point wine. Packet pickup is at Cardinal Point Vineyard on race day. A beverage ticket attached to the race bib is used to claim the finisher glass and wine in the tasting room or patio; proper ID is required.
Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and first place in multiple age groups; winners over 21 receive a bottle of Cardinal Point wine and winners under 21 receive a bottle of sparkling grape juice. There are no refunds; participant transfers are allowed with an email request submitted two weeks before race day.
