Event
Windermere Triathlons & Duathlons take place on Saturday 4 July and Sunday 5 July 2026 at Cockshott Point, Glebe Road, Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria (postcode LA23 3GZ, what3words ///obvious.issued.quilting). Saturday hosts Sprint and Novice distances; Sunday hosts Standard distances. The swim takes place in Lake Windermere. Bike routes pass through Ambleside, with Novice and Sprint routes looping back and Standard riders circling the lake. Runs use shoreline paths and trails.
A secure Transition Area is provided for triathletes; race and bike numbers correspond to racking numbers, only competitors may enter, a small bag or box of personal items is permitted, and bike number and helmet must be displayed. Wetsuits are expected to be optional. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. Entry requires British Triathlon membership or a single use Race Pass. Race categories are Female (only people female sex at birth) and Open (all individuals including transgender people). Parking is available around Cockshott Point and Glebe Road. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise (buff or water bottle), and a drink and snack. A custom event t-shirt is offered as an optional extra for £12.
