Windermere Triathlons & Duathlons 2026
This two day event is based at Cockshott Point, Glebe Road, Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria (postcode LA23 3GZ). The programme runs across Saturday 4 July 2026 and Sunday 5 July 2026 with a mix of triathlon, duathlon and aquathlon formats. The swim takes place in Lake Windermere, the bike routes pass through Ambleside with Standard riders circling the lake, and the run uses shoreline paths and trails.
A secure Transition Area is provided for triathletes only. Race numbers and bike numbers correspond to racking positions, a small bag or box of personal items may be brought into transition, and competitors must show race numbers to enter. Bike numbers must be attached and helmets visible before entry; bib and bike numbers are checked before bike removal after the race.
Wetsuits are expected to be optional depending on water temperature, with a recommendation for less experienced swimmers. Live chip timing is used for real time results. British Triathlon membership and a race licence or a single use Race Pass are required to compete. Public parking is available near Cockshott Point.
All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise (buff or water bottle), and a drink and snack.
