Windermere Triathlons & Multisport Weekend
The event takes place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th July 2027 at Cockshott Point, Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria. It is a British Triathlon permitted event; non members must purchase a race pass or day insurance for the event. The venue sits on the shores of Lake Windermere and provides access to local amenities and public car parks.
Swim sections take place in Lake Windermere. Bike routes use roads through Ambleside with Novice and Sprint routes looping back and Standard riders circulating the entire lake. Run sections use shoreline paths and trail laps suitable for spectators. Wetsuits are expected to be optional; they are recommended for comfort and buoyancy, especially for less experienced swimmers.
A secure Transition Area will be available for triathletes only. Race numbers and bike numbers correspond to racking positions; competitors must show race numbers to enter transition, attach bike numbers to their bike, and have helmets visible. Live Chip Timing is provided by Timing Up North. Parking is available around Cockshott Point and Glebe Road, payable by app or at machines. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a drink and snack.
