Event
Windermere Triathlons & Duathlons take place on 4 and 5 July 2026 at Cockshott Point, Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria. The weekend features Sprint and Novice distances on Saturday and Standard distances on Sunday. Swimming takes place in Lake Windermere. Bike routes run via Ambleside, with Novice and Sprint courses looping back and Standard riders circling the whole lake. Run sections use paths and trails along the shoreline.

- Novice Triathlon: 350m swim, 20k cycle, 2.5k run
- Sprint Triathlon & Relays: 750m swim, 20k cycle, 5k run
- Sprint Duathlon: 5k run, 20k cycle, 2.5k run
- Sprint Aquabike: 750m swim, 20k cycle
- Standard Triathlon & Relays: 1,500m swim, 48k cycle, 10k run
- Standard Duathlon: 10k run, 48k cycle, 5k run
- Standard Aquabike: 1,500m swim, 48k cycle
Logistics
Wetsuits are expected to be optional; they are recommended for comfort and buoyancy. A secure transition area is provided for triathletes; racking uses race and bike numbers, competitors only, small personal bags allowed, and bike number and helmet rules apply. Live chip timing is used, supplied by Timing Up North. British Triathlon membership and a race licence or single-use race pass are required. All finishers receive a medal, event merchandise (buff or water bottle), and a drink and snack. A custom event t-shirt is available as an optional extra for £12.
