Wiltshire 10 - Melksham, 14 February 2027
The Wiltshire 10 is a measured 10 mile road event that starts and finishes at King George V Playing Field, Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club, Melksham SN12 7ED. The route leads out of Melksham and passes through the village of Lacock. The field is limited to 300 places.
Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers, with additional veteran categories for V40, V50, V60 and V70 for both sexes. All finishers receive a medal.
On-site facilities include toilets, refreshments for purchase, and two water stations located around 3.5 miles and 7 miles. First aid cover is provided and the event is fully insured.
Logistics and restrictions are set out for participant safety. Registration takes place at the Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club where race numbers are collected and must be secured to the front of the vest and visible at the finish. There is no parking at the Canoe Club; participants should use Melksham council car parks. Roads on the course remain open. The organisers state the minimum age is 16 on race day, dogs are not permitted, the course is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs, and headphones including bone conduction devices are not allowed. Race entries close on 1 January 2027 or earlier if the limit is reached and there will be no entries on the day.
