Willow River Run
Willow River Run is a chip timed running event held in Mary Park, New Richmond, Wisconsin. The event offers two measured road race distances on marked out-and-back and loop courses.
- 5K - Out-and-back to Oak Ridge (147th); two water stops.
- 10K - Out, loop around Fox Run, return to Mary Park; three water stops.
The course is marked with orange cones, arrows, and orange paint at turns. Runners are asked to stay to the left of the cones on the outbound leg and to the right on the return. Corner marshals and police are positioned at major intersections, and an ambulance will sweep the course.
Water, refreshments, and snacks are available at the finish area. Music and an emcee are planned during the event and a coffee truck will be onsite for spectators. Timing and results are managed with chip timing; results are posted through the event timing service.
Packet pickup is offered Friday evening at the New Richmond Community Library main corridor and race morning at the Mary Park center pavilion. Registration opens January 1, 2027 and closes June 26, 2027; the registration fee is $35. Registration is processed through RunSignUp, and race day registration will be available. Awards are given in 10-year age groups for first through third place and overall winners receive a medal and award. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
