Fredericksburg Wildflower 5K & 10K Run & Walk
The Fredericksburg Wildflower event features a scenic course located in and around Fredericksburg, Texas. The race starts and finishes at Marktplatz (Market Square) in the downtown area. The venue provides access to parking and restrooms for all attendees.
Participants can choose from several distances and formats:
- 10 km Timed Run
- 5 km Timed Run
- 5 km Non-Timed Walk
- 200 Yard Kids Fun Dash
The event utilizes chip timing provided by Athlete Guild for the 5 km and 10 km run categories. A pre-race stretch and warm-up session is led by fitness professionals at the starting line area. After crossing the finish line, water bottles are provided to participants.
Awards are presented at the Big Pavilion for the top three male and female finishers in various age groups for both the 5 km and 10 km runs, ranging from age 1 to 99. Special awards are also given to the overall top male and female runners in both distances. Children aged 5-12 who participate in the run or walk are entered into a raffle drawing for prizes. Participants who complete their registration by April 18 receive a t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
