The Wanderlust race day is on March 21, 2026 in Fredericksburg, Texas. The event is based at Marketplatz Square in the center of town, with the start area at the pavilion near the corner of Adams and Austin. Courses are loop routes: the 5k is a town loop through residential areas, the 10k follows the 5k route and extends into nearby countryside, and the half marathon (13.1) combines town and country in a larger loop that goes out to Crabapple Road and includes rolling hills.

Packet pickup is offered the day before the race and on race day at Marketplatz. All finishers receive a medal and a unisex tri-blend race shirt. Awards are given 1st–4th for all distances. Age categories range from 14 and under, then 15-20, 21-24, 25-29, and continue in five-year brackets up to 90+. First overall and masters awards are based on gun time; all age-group awards are based on chip time due to wave starts. There are automatic 50% discounts for participants aged 16 and younger and for those aged 70 and older; combining discount codes is not allowed. The event has a no-refund policy; late transfers incur fees ($20 two days before the race, $30 the day before), and no transfers are allowed after race day.
