Event Overview
The Outlaw Half Marathon celebrates its 11th year at Luckenbach Town Loop in Fredericksburg, Texas. The event takes place in early April, a time typically associated with the blooming of wildflowers and local scenery such as longhorns. All three distances begin in the historic downtown area of Luckenbach, specifically in front of the old Post Office.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- 6.21 miles (10K)
- 3.11 miles (5K)
Course Details and Terrain
The routes are designed as out and back courses along the backroads of the Texas Hill Country. Both the 5K and 10K courses are described as relatively flat. The 5K is USATF certified (TX18038LAB). The Half Marathon course is also USATF registered (TX18037LAB) and features the rolling hills characteristic of the local landscape.
Participant Information
The start area provides space for spectators. Finishers receive a medal at the finish line, though these are not mailed out post-event.
