Course, services and rules
The 7.45 mile course is described as 95% trail, heading into the woods with steep climbs and descents, creek and bridge crossings, and wildlife viewing. There are two aid stations supplying liquid hydration: one at about 2 miles and another shortly after 4 miles. No race time limit is stated.
Race regulations listed for event day include: no bandits, no radios or headphones, no strollers, no dogs, no refunds or bib transfers, and no awards or shirts will be mailed. Drawings and Grand Slam prizes require presence to claim.
The event includes awards and an after-party with age group awards, food (pulled pork and chicken), and beverages. The first 150 finishers receive an on-site finisher award.
