Wild Turkey Wattle - Otsego
Wild Turkey Wattle is a Thanksgiving morning run and walk held on 11/26/2026 at Otsego Regional Park in Otsego, MN (15186 96th St NE, 55330). The course is paved, flat to slightly rolling, and loops beside the river and through wooded sections. Strollers are welcome with the request that stroller users allow runners to pass and take care when maneuvering.
The event supports local high school nordic ski programs (Elk River, Rogers and Zimmerman) and operates as a nonprofit (501c3). Funds help purchase or supplement ski equipment, uniforms, and training or competition costs for athletes who need financial assistance. This is the event's 14th year and it has grown to about 400 runners.
A donation drive accepts non-perishable food items and winter clothing for CAER, the local food shelf. Shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis; registering by November 9 guarantees a size choice. Packet pick up is available on race morning.
Registration opens 10/4/2026 and closes 11/2/2026. Standard registration fees listed by the organizer are $30 for the 5 km (ages 13 and up), $20 for the 5 km (ages 12 and under), and $10 for the 1.5 km kids run. Race day registration fees may be higher and shirts or giveaways may be limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
