Wild Lakes 10

Wild Lakes 10 takes place on May 2, 2025, in the Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lakes Protected Wilderness Area near Halifax. The event starts from the Maskwa Aquatics Club parking lot. The main route is a 10 km loop that travels on single-track trails and passes five lakes within the protected area.

The course runs through forested, protected land and includes narrow single-track sections that require basic trail navigation. The loop stays inside the Blue Mountain Birch Cove Lakes area and highlights multiple lake shorelines and wooded trails.

At the same time, the Halifax Search & Rescue EcoEndurance Challenge E2C returns. Teams of two or more have a fixed time of either 4 hours or 8 hours to visit as many checkpoints as possible and score points. The winning team is the one with the highest point total within the allotted time or the team that returns to the start fastest after visiting all markers.

All profits from the EcoEndurance Challenge support the life saving activities of the Halifax Regional Search and Rescue team.
