Wild Goose Trail Festival : Wawayanda State Park, Hewitt NJ
The Wild Goose Trail Festival takes place in mid-September 2026 at Wawayanda State Park in Hewitt, NJ, with activities across the weekend of September 18-20, 2026. The event includes panel discussions and a film screening on Friday, followed by multiple trail-distance events over Saturday and Sunday. Free camping is available to participants, pacers, and crew on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The 100 mile race has a 36 hour overall cutoff with a single cutoff point at mile 92.5; the main 100 mile aid station is open throughout the 36 hours. The course features doublewide trails, rolling singletrack, technical sections with rocks and roots, wood plank boardwalks, some gravelly trail and short sections of road, with an average of about 112 ft elevation gain per mile.
The festival partners with the nonprofit Bigger Than The Trail, which advocates for mental health and funds free therapy. Hardship entry and fund programs are available to help cover fees for those with financial need. All 100 mile and 36 hour entrants must complete eight hours of trail work or race volunteering within the specified window or make an alternative payment to the charity partner.
