Wild Goose Trail Festival
Wild Goose Trail Festival is a multi-day trail event at Wawayanda State Park in Hewitt, New Jersey (885 Warwick Turnpike, 07421). The festival includes organized trail races, timed events, community panels and a film screening, plus free camping for participants, pacers and crew on the festival evenings.
Race offerings cover a wide range of distances and formats, including:
- Kids 1 Miler : 1 mile
- 10K : 10K
- 13.1M : 13.1 miles
- 30K : 30K
- 50K : 50K
- 50M : 50 miles
- 100K : 100K
- 100M : 100 miles
- 36H timed event
- Hardship Entry option
Several races list overall cutoff windows: the 10K, half marathon and 30K use a 10 hour overall cutoff; the 50K has a 12 hour cutoff; many longer distance and timed events use a 36 hour window with limited course cutoffs. Pacer policy varies by distance: pacers are generally not permitted in shorter distance races except for participants over age 60 or athletes with a disability, while pacers may join longer distance and timed events beginning at sunset. Course loops are used repeatedly for the longer and timed events, and timed-event lap order and completion rules apply for counting final loops.
