Wilcox Wild Ultra 50K - Stony Creek, NY
Wilcox Wild is a 50K trail ultramarathon held within the Wilcox Lake Wild Forest in the Adirondack Park near Stony Creek, New York. The course is a lollipop route that starts and finishes at Harrisburg Lake and runs via East Stony Creek Trail to Hope Falls, then the Murphy Trail to Willis Lake, out to Wilcox Lake, and back to Harrisburg Lake.
The route covers approximately 31 miles with 3,028 feet of elevation gain and the same amount of elevation loss. Terrain is mostly trail with minimal gravel and pavement. Two well stocked aid stations are on course at mile 11.5 and mile 23, and there are multiple opportunities to filter water along the route.
The event requires participants to provide relevant prior experience for review. Entrants are added to a wait list and will be admitted after their experience is reviewed. Organizers expect runners to complete the course in under 10 hours 30 minutes. Registration closes August 23, 2026.
