Wicked Wine Run Phoenix
The Wicked Wine Run at Rawhide Western Town in Chandler, Arizona, combines physical activity with wine tasting. The event takes place on a scenic course and offers different participation options for those aged 21 and over.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km run or walk
- 1 km tasting walk
The 5 km event is an open registration run or walk where participants line up in waves according to their pace. There are two water stations along the route, and finishers receive a wine glass filled with wine and a finisher medal. The 1 km tasting walk is a more relaxed experience featuring three wine sampling stations along the course, with a fourth tasting provided at the finish line.
The event grounds include an after-party area with food trucks, music, games, and a dance contest. Costume contests are also held during the festivities. For those not participating in the timed or tasting events, spectator tickets are available for purchase on-site, which include a wine glass and access to the event area.
Packet pickup is available the day before the event at a local sports shop in Tempe, or on the morning of the event for an additional fee. All attendees must present a valid ID to verify they are at least 21 years old. Parking is available at the venue for a fee, and participants are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets for the post-race activities.
