Wicked Wine Run at King Estate Winery
The Wicked Wine Run takes place at King Estate Winery in Eugene, Oregon. This venue, established in 1991, is recognized as the largest certified Biodynamic vineyard in North America and focuses on sustainable winemaking practices. The event combines athletic activity with wine tasting, set against the backdrop of the estate's vineyard rows.
Participants can choose from several event options:
- 5K Run/Walk: A course through the vines that includes water stations and a glass of wine at the finish line.
- 1K Tasting Walk: A shorter distance featuring four sampling stations, with three located along the course and one at the finish.
- 1K and 5K Combo: An option for those who wish to participate in both distances.
All participants receive an event shirt and a race bib. Those completing the 5K also receive a finisher medal, while 1K participants receive a souvenir wine glass for their tasting samples. The event features an after party with music, food trucks, and games such as dance and costume contests.
The event is strictly for individuals aged 21 and over. Age verification is required for all participants and spectators. Spectators can purchase a tasting-only pass at the event, which includes an etched wine glass and access to the festivities. Parking is available on-site for a fee, and participants have the option to have their race packets mailed in advance or picked up on the day of the event.
