The Wicked Windstone : October 17, 2026
The event takes place in Columbia Cross Roads, PA and offers multiple race distances on a 5 kilometer loop course at Windstone Landing Farms.
- 100 Mile
- 100K
- 50K
- 5K
Each lap is about 5 kilometers with roughly 300 feet of elevation gain per loop. The surface is mixed farm roads, mowed fields, wooded singletrack, pine forest, and natural terrain. A single lap passes pond views, open farmland, forest clearings, creek-side trail, a hand-built log bridge, and a steep climb known as The Wall. The main Start/Finish and Aid Station area serves as the lap transition point and crew access location.
The 100 Mile race begins approximately 0.934 kilometers before the main Start/Finish area and requires 32 full loops. Recorded elevation gains by distance include about 320 feet for one loop, 3,000+ feet for the 50K, 6,000+ feet for the 100K, and 10,000+ feet near the 100 Mile mark. Cutoffs are 12 hours for the 50K, 30 hours for the 100K, and 36 hours for the 100 Mile.
At least once during the event organizers may announce a Wicked Reversal using air horns or cowbells; runners then complete the current lap and begin subsequent laps in the opposite direction until the reversal ends. Headlamps or lighting are required for 100K and 100 Mile participants. Primitive on site camping is included with registration. The official aid station is located within 0.5 kilometer of the Start/Finish and provides water, electrolytes, snacks, hot beverages, and occasional hot meals. Finishers receive event medals or a buckle according to distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
