Wicked Rogaines Spring Series
Wicked Rogaines runs a Spring Series of rogaining events in October and November 2026 in and around Christchurch. The series includes events on 14 October and 21 October in the Port Hills, 28 October at Taylors Mistake, 4 November at Mt Vernon Farm Park, and 11 November at Adventure Park. There is also a separate Wicked 6 hour Spring Rogaine on 8 November.
Rogaining is a team navigation sport in which teams of two to five members visit as many checkpoints as possible within a set time. Shorter duration rogaines often allow solo competitors. Checkpoints carry different scores based on the difficulty of reaching them, so teams choose a route strategy. Teams travel entirely on foot and navigate by map and compass across terrain that can vary from open farmland to hilly forest. Team members stay within earshot of each other.
Events can be held in city environments or in farmland and bush and offer a way to visit parts of the Port Hills and surrounding areas. Organizers offer free basic navigation help for first timers.
