About the race
The Wicked Fun Run and Fall Festival is the 9th annual community event organized by the Brown Elementary School PTO at Brown School in Natick, MA. The event includes a short children’s sprint and a neighborhood fun run that begins and ends at the front of the school. The run course is marked, volunteers will help direct runners, and timing is provided by Racewire. Runners are assigned bibs; bib pickup is available on the days before the run and on race day at school entrances.
Distances:
- 50 meter Monster Dash for preschool and elementary age groups
- 2 mile Fun Run for all ages
The Monster Dash is open to preschool through 4th grade, divided into six groups, has no registration fee, and participants receive Halloween candy; a suggested $5 donation to the PTO may be collected on the day. Costumes for the 2 mile run are optional and encouraged. Student finishers of the 2 mile run receive medals; trophies are awarded to the fastest male and female in each age group (no medals for adults). A group warmup will be offered near the starting line by Boston Body Pilates.
A free Fall Festival follows the run and features pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, balloon art, bounce houses, a DJ, bake sale, pumpkin painting, crafts, games, and local youth sports organizations. Parking at the school will be closed before the run to prepare for runners; participants should note that the course uses open neighborhood roads and is intended to keep to the right side of the road or near the sidewalk.
