Whiteswan Mile
The Whiteswan Mile takes place on July 12, 2026 in Saskatoon, SK, Canada. Presented by the Saskatoon Road Runners Association, it also serves as the Saskatchewan Athletics 2026 Road Mile Championship. The event is contested over the mile on a newly reimagined flat and fast course.
The program includes an Open Mile open to all runners and an Invitational Mile for athletes who meet published entry standards. Both events use chip timing on a certified course; the Invitational is record eligible. Invitational standards are specified for men and women, with equivalent 1500 m marks noted.
Prize money is announced for overall placings. In the Open Mile the top three overall male and female finishers receive 150, 100 and 50 dollars respectively. Non-cash prizes are provided for top finishers in U20, 20-34 and masters categories. Gender-diverse runners are welcome but are not eligible for age-class awards at this time. The Invitational Mile offers prize money for the top five finishers and a velocity bonus for champions who beat the stated speed thresholds.
Funds raised by the event will support the Huskie Athletics Track and Field and Cross Country Running teams. Entry fees vary by registration date and category; a member discount for SRRA is available and invited athletes receive complimentary sponsored entry. The event schedule includes bib pickup, multiple seeded Open Mile waves by seed time, separate women's and men's Invitational races, and award presentations.
