Event overview
The White Horse Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday 29 March 2026. It is organised by volunteers from the White Horse Harriers athletics club and is held in Grove, near Wantage in Oxfordshire. The race is chip timed and finishers receive a White Horse Half mug. A course map and a GPX file of the route are available.
Course, logistics and policies
The course is a level rural route on quiet country lanes through the Vale of the White Horse, passing the villages of Denchworth, Lyford and Charney Bassett. The event starts and finishes at Grove. Free parking is provided for the race; Grove has a limited Sunday bus service and the nearest train station is at Didcot, about 10 miles away. Medical and anti-doping requirements and incident-reporting procedures apply.
The organisers reserve the right to cancel, delay, modify or postpone the race for reasons outside their reasonable control and may retain all or part of registration fees in those circumstances. Refunds are not issued to entrants who cannot attend; entry transfers may be considered if the event reaches capacity, but transfers are not possible within two weeks of the race. Volunteers are used for marshalling and other duties. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
