About the race
The White Horse half marathon is scheduled for Sunday 4 April 2027. The race is run on a level rural course through the Vale of the White Horse, starting and finishing at Grove near Wantage, Oxfordshire. The route follows quiet country lanes and passes through the villages of Denchworth, Lyford and Charney Bassett.
The event is chip timed. A map of the course and a GPX file of the route are available, and pre-event information (race programme) is published for entrants. Medical and anti-doping requirements and incident reporting procedures are provided by the organisers.
The organisers note that the format and course have been unchanged in recent years and remain much the same for this edition. Results for the 2026 race are available on the event results page. The event reserves the right to cancel, delay, modify or postpone the race for reasons beyond its reasonable control and may retain all or part of registration fees in those circumstances. Refunds are not issued to entrants who cannot attend; transfers to another runner may be considered and are not permitted within two weeks of the race.
Volunteers are recruited to assist with marshalling and other duties; no prior experience is required. The organisers acknowledge local supporting organisations, including TFD gym and Hendred Vineyard. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
