Event overview
The White Horse Half Marathon is scheduled for 29 March 2026. The race is a half marathon run on a level rural course through the villages of the Vale of the White Horse. The route starts from Grove and follows quiet country lanes through Denchworth, Lyford and Charney Bassett. The race is chip timed and every finisher receives a commemorative mug. The event is organised entirely by volunteers from the White Horse Harriers athletics club. Entry is open to runners aged 17 and over on the event date. Entry fees are listed between £27.00 and £30.00.
Logistics and policies
Race headquarters and parking are in Grove, near Wantage, Oxfordshire; full location and parking details are provided to entrants nearer the event. Free parking is available for the race. Public transport to Grove is limited on Sundays; the nearest mainline station is at Didcot, about 10 miles away. A map and a GPX file of the course are available. Medical and anti-doping requirements and incident-reporting information are provided by the organisers. The organisers reserve the right to cancel, delay, modify or postpone the event for reasons outside their reasonable control and may retain all or part of registration fees in such circumstances. Transfer of entries may be considered if the event reaches capacity; transfers are not permitted within two weeks of the race. Volunteers are recruited to assist with marshalling and other duties.
