The White Deer Triathlon is scheduled for May 16, 2026 in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin. The event combines a paddle, a bike ride, and a run that begin and end in locations around Boulder Junction, including Boulder Lake, Camp Manito-wish YMCA, and the Boulder Junction Community Center.
Race format and key details
- 3 km paddle on Boulder Lake
- 22 km bike on paved roads around Boulder Junction
- 6 km run on paved roads and a forest trail
Participants may enter as Individuals or as a 3-person relay, with each relay member completing one leg. Individual divisions cover ages 15 through 70+ with age categories in ten-year bands; medals are awarded to the top three males and top three females in each age group and plaques are presented to the top male and top female overall. All finishers receive a participation medal. Kayaks with pedals incur a 45-minute penalty.
Registration details for 2026 include early bird and standard periods with set fees per individual and per 3-person team. Registration opens January 5, 2026.
Mandatory equipment includes a personal floatation device during the paddle and a helmet during the bike leg. Restrooms or portable toilets are located at the Boulder Junction Community Center, Camp Manito-wish YMCA transition area, Boulder Lake landing area, and Winter Park.
