Whiptail Duathlon

The Whiptail Duathlon takes place on March 8, 2026 at McKenzie Ranch Race Course in Vail, AZ (12725 S Red Hill Ranch Rd, 85641). The event offers multiple race formats: run-bike-run, bike-run-bike, and relay events. Distances offered include:

Course and logistics

Run segments use the Hohokam trail. Bike segments use Lozen and Daheste trails. Trails are described as technical with moderate difficulty and rolling hills. Parking is on site; participants are advised the access road is a bumpy dirt road and to drive slowly. The race will be timed by On Your Left Timing. Post-race refreshments and awards are provided.
