Where the Wild Things Run 5K - Davie

Where the Wild Things Run is a professionally timed 5K run/walk held on November 7, 2026, on the campus of Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. The event welcomes runners, walkers, families, and wildlife supporters to participate in a timed 5K that takes place on a South Florida campus setting.

Participants may join one of several teams that represent different animal groups: Run for All the Wild Things, Hoot and Holler Team, Play Dead Legends Team, and Rattler and Rollers Team. After crossing the finish line, attendees have an opportunity to meet wildlife animal ambassadors and see the animals that benefit from the event’s support.

The event raises funds for the South Florida Wildlife Center, which admits over 8,000 animals each year. Registration proceeds support emergency rescue and critical medical treatment, rehabilitation and release back into the wild, and the care of education ambassadors used in outreach and programs.

Registration for the 5K opens May 1, 2026, and closes July 31, 2026. The stated registration fee for the 5K is $35.00. The event description focuses on timed competition and fundraising for wildlife care and education rather than on competitive categories or qualifying requirements.
