The Wheat Ridge Half Marathon & 5k
The Wheat Ridge Half Marathon and 5k are organized by the Colorado Brewery Running Series and take place at Prost Brewing Wheat Ridge at Clear Creek Crossing along the Clear Creek Trail in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The event starts and finishes at the brewery and follows the Clear Creek Trail.
Distances
- Half Marathon out-and-back on Clear Creek Trail with about 700 ft elevation change
- 5k untimed fun run on the same Clear Creek Trail route
The half marathon course uses an initial out-and-back to the east (about 11.2 miles round trip) followed by an out-and-back to the west to complete the distance. The last mile of the half marathon is downhill. Aid stations are available approximately every 2 to 2.5 miles and toilets are located at several points on course and at the start and finish. Carrying a personal water bottle or hydration pack is permitted and refills are available at aid stations.
Packet pick up is available at Prost Brewing on the Friday before the event and on race morning. The half marathon is chip timed and open to runners age 14 and up; the 5k is an untimed fun run. The event offers participant shirts subject to signup deadlines, a finisher medal, bag check, onsite merchandise, live music, food trucks, vendors, door prizes, and a post party with beer for participants age 21 and older. Tiered entry fees and a partial refund policy apply. Parking and overflow options are available near Clear Creek Crossing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
