WGPAL Donut Dash 5K : Overview
The WGPAL Donut Dash 5K takes place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Winter Garden, Florida. The event includes an in-person 5K Run/Walk and a Virtual 5K (remote participation). Format, awards and logistics
The course runs through downtown Winter Garden and along Lake Apopka. The race includes three designated "donut zones" located at the 1-mile, 2-mile, and 3-mile marks. Each donut eaten in a donut zone reduces a participant's final time by 30 seconds. Participants who eat 12 or more donuts receive an additional bonus of 1 minute off their final time for each donut over 12. All donuts must be finished inside the donut zones.
All registered participants receive a race medal. Additional medals are awarded to first and second place finishers by age category (male and female) and to the top three overall finishers (male and female). Each adult entry includes one free child's entry to the kids' fun-run; additional children may participate at no extra cost. Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before at the Winter Garden Police Department. A course map is available as a downloadable PDF.
