The Teeny Trot is part of the pre-race festivities on October 17. It is open to children aged 10 and under; the child must be registered and accompanying parents or guardians do not need to register. The 1 km course is entirely on the pathway, with a 500 m out-and-back layout. Registered children receive a post-race medal, a commemorative race bib and snacks; a blow-up archway marks start and finish.
