WeSwimRun Liverpool
WeSwimRun Liverpool is a swimrun knockout event held at Princes Dock within Liverpool Waters. The race uses elimination laps and can extend to six laps; athletes who reach the final lap will complete 15 km in total. The field is limited to 50 places because of the course layout. Race headquarters is Swim Liverpool.
Distances per lap are set by category:
- Male lap 2.5 km total, including 500 m of swim
- Female lap 2.25 km total, including 500 m of swim
A lap is composed of a 700 m run, a 200 m swim, a second run of 900 m for men or 650 m for women, a 300 m swim, and a final 400 m run. In 2026 a short chute is used on the second run for the female category to keep the same cut off times for men and women.
Cut off times are applied each lap: Lap 1 26 minutes, Lap 2 24 minutes, Lap 3 22 minutes, Lap 4 20 minutes, Lap 5 18 minutes, and the sixth lap is raced without a declared cut off. Swim entries are from pontoons about 2 feet above the water and the water depth is about 2 m. Swim exits use a concrete ramp that may be slippery and is steeper than an average slipway. Water temperature is expected around 16 to 17 degrees Celsius.
For overnight stays in campervan or similar, the nearest full facility is about 3 km away at Liverpool Marina. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
