WeSwimRun Liverpool
This is a swimrun eliminator held at Princes Dock in Liverpool, with race headquarters at Swim Liverpool and the event set within Liverpool Waters. Competitors may complete up to six laps; reaching the final lap yields a total distance of 15 km. The field is limited to 50 places.
A short chute is used on the second run for the female category in 2026. Lap formats differ by gender:
- Male lap: 2.5 km (total run 2 km; total swim 500 m)
- Female lap: 2.25 km (total run 1.75 km; total swim 500 m)
Each lap consists of a 700 m run, a 200 m swim, a run of 900 m for men or 650 m for women, a 300 m swim, and a final 400 m run. Cut-off times per lap are 26, 24, 22, 20 and 18 minutes for laps one through five; lap six is described as a final all out race. Competitors who do not finish within a lap time are stood down at the end of that lap.
Both swim entries use pontoons about 2 feet above the water; water depth is around 2 m. Swim exits are via a concrete ramp that may be slippery when wet and is steeper than a typical slipway. Water temperature is expected to be about 16 to 17 degrees Celsius. Overnight campervan facilities are available approximately 3 km away at Liverpool Marina.
