About the race
The Westonbirt Sprint Triathlon takes place on Bank Holiday Monday 31 May 2027 at Westonbirt House, Tetbury (postcode GL8 8QG). The event uses the heated indoor pool at Westonbirt Leisure Centre for the swim, a 23 km bike course that passes Westonbirt Arboretum and Highgrove, and a traffic-free run through school grounds with transition and the finish in front of Westonbirt House. Places are strictly limited to 500.
Race distances:
- 400 m pool swim
- 23 km bike
- 5 km run
Competitors move from the pool to transition via a 550 m run; there is an area where footwear may be left. Chip timing is provided, with splits and an instant results screen. All finishers receive a medal and event goodies; for an additional fee a personalised plate can be added to the back of the medal. There are healthier refreshments and quality coffee on site, event photography, and a specialist cycling and multisport shop.
Entry options include individual and relay places, and a super early bird price applies to the first 100 entries. Klarna is offered as a payment option to allow instalment payments without added interest. The venue has plentiful parking and competitors are directed into the school from the main road; the main drive will be in use during the event so care around competitors is requested.
