Santa's Scamper
Santa's Scamper is an annual charity fun run that starts and finishes at Calne Community Campus in Calne, Wiltshire. The route is approximately 4 km and runs through the town centre where spectators often line the streets.
The event has previously supported charities including Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Dorothy House, Hope for Tomorrow, Barnardo's and Hannah's Trees, raising over £15,000 to date. The charities for the current year are to be announced nearer December 2026. An after party takes place at the finish where charities are present and attendees can have festive treats, hot drinks or listen to a guest choir.
Entry fees include a Santa suit and a finisher's medal for most categories. Suit size is determined by the entry category selected. Entry categories and prices are Adult 15 and over £14.00, Youth 9 to 14 years £12.00 with an accompanying adult, Child 5 to 8 years £12.00 with an accompanying adult, and Children under 5 are free with no suit or medal provided and must be accompanied by an adult. The event is described as a fun run and not a race. Pushchairs are allowed on the course with care, while scooters and other skating equipment are not permitted.
