Event overview
Santa's Scamper is an annual charity fun run held on 12 December 2026 at Calne Community Campus, White Horse Way, Calne, Wiltshire SN11 0SP. The event is described as a fun run rather than a race. The route starts and ends at the campus and covers the town centre, with a course length of approximately 4 km. Previous editions have supported charities including Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Dorothy House, Hope for Tomorrow, Barnardo's and Hannah's Trees, with more than £15,000 raised to date. The charities for 2026 will be announced nearer the event.
Entry and on-the-day details
Entry categories and fees are: adults (15+) £14.00, youth (9-14) £12.00, children (5-8) £12.00, children under 5 free (no suit or medal provided). Youth and child entries must be accompanied by an adult. As part of the entry fee, participants receive a Santa suit and a finisher's medal; children under 5 do not receive a suit or medal. Suit size is determined by the selected entry category. Entries close before the event unless sold out; no on-the-day entries are available.
Route management and after-party
Pushchairs are allowed on the course with care, while scooters and other skating items are not permitted. After the run there is an after-party where charities will be present and attendees can access festive treats, hot drinks and performances by a guest choir.
