Weston Memorial Day Weekend 5K & Kids Fun Run
The event takes place on May 29, 2027 at Weston High School in Weston, Connecticut. It includes a USATF certified 5K and multiple kids fun run distances with on-site activities at the school campus.
Distances
- 5K (3.1 miles) USATF certified, tree-lined course starting and finishing at Weston High School
- 100 yards Lightning Dash on the Weston High School track
- 1/4 mile One Lap Loop on the Weston High School track
- 1 mile The Mighty Mile on the Weston High School track
Kids activities are located at the high school football field and track. The Kids Zone features a giant inflatable obstacle course, face painting, temporary tattoos, a water station, and ribbons for all racers; top finishers in the Fun Runs receive medals. Parents may run alongside children on the track.
Timing for the 5K uses a ChronoTrack B-tag attached to the race bib; participants are asked to wear it facing front and not to fold or bend it. Water stations are located just beyond the halfway mark on course and at the finish line. Finishers will find an expanded variety of complimentary fruits and snacks beyond the finish line.
Race packet pick-up is at the Weston High School Cafeteria, 115 School Road, Weston CT. Packets and race shirts not picked up by the morning of the race may be reallocated. The event is held rain or shine unless weather is deemed unsafe. There are no refunds.
Registration opens November 1, 2026. Fees listed in the event information are $35 for adult 5K, $25 for student 5K, and $15 for Kids Fun Runs. Free parking is available in school lots; parking on School Road is not permitted. The 5K course remains open to local traffic with traffic directed to the right lane and police and road safety personnel assisting along the route.
Awards for the 5K include top 3 overall male and female and age group medals for standard age ranges. Overall winners are excluded from age-group awards so more participants receive recognition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
