Event overview
The 40th Weston Creek Half Marathon is scheduled for 15 March 2026 at Black Mountain Peninsula, Garryowen Drive, Acton ACT, Australia. The event comprises a half marathon and a community 10 km run. The course is an out-and-back along bike paths with views of Lake Burley Griffin and no road crossings. There will be two water stations on course and drinks and limited fruit at the finish. A commemorative medal has been minted for the half marathon and a formal presentation will follow the races, with medals, gift vouchers, trophies and pre-drawn prize draws.

There is a course time cut-off of 3 hours 30 minutes for completion. Relay teams of two or three may enter the half marathon for a set fee; the first runner starts with individual runners carrying a baton with an electronic chip to hand to the next runner at changeover. For three-person teams the changeover is at the 7 km and 14 km marks on the outward bike path just before Cotter Road Bridge; for two-person teams the changeover is at the turnaround point at 11.1 km. Bibs may be collected from the Runners Shop in Colbee Court, Phillip in the days before the event or from the race starting area on the morning of the event. Clothing and gear may be left under cover near the start and presentation area. Hot cross buns, fruit and drinks will be available in the presentation area.
Registration and policies
Online registration opens 1 October 2025. Entry fees for the half marathon and 10 km change by date:
- Half marathon early bird $60, mid $75, late $95.
- 10 km early bird $30, mid $40, late $50.
A $10 discount is available to eligible club members between 28 December 2025 and 27 February 2026. Relay teams pay a flat fee of $90 per team. The organiser offers options for injured entrants up to two weeks before the event, including transfer to the 10 km, transfer to the following year, or a partial refund.
